Trip to the Rockefeller Christmas Tree and the MOMA

So yesterday I went to the city with my pals, Hannah and Liz, to see the tree in Rockefeller Center and to go to the MOMA (my first time!). It was a great trip! The tree was the same as always, a little underwhelming once you've seen it as many times as I have, but we still had fun taking pictures in front of it.
We pretty quickly learned that the struggle of getting pictures in Rockefeller Center is finding someone reliable to take the picture. Luckily we were able to find someone, and they even took the picture with my Polaroid camera, which of course I loved.

After we grabbed lunch, Liz and  headed off to the MOMA. If you go to the MOMA on Fridays from 4-8PM, there's free admission, so that was pretty awesome! There was a line that wrapped around the block, but it moved pretty quickly. The museum was packed!

I took lots of pictures in the museum, though I have to say the most interesting exhibits were the ones that we weren't allowed to take pictures of. There was actually an empty pie box on display! Art!
The art in the museum was very cool, though I have to say I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to the meaning of art pieces (hence my reaction to the empty pie box). However, I can still appreciate cool and interesting art, and the effort it takes on part of the artist.

Here are some of my favorites from the MOMA:

I love these comic book style pieces!

Getting this picture was not easy, especially since I'm so short! The room was super crowded, but I managed to get this picture at least.

These two pieces, "Dance" and "Red Room" are my favorite Matisse pieces. There was also a really cool Matisse cut-out exhibit, but sadly, no pictures were allowed.

As evidenced by these photos, I'm a sucker for anything Marilyn Monroe. The one in the center was my favorite, so of course I had to get a picture in front of it.

I really loved my first trip to the MOMA, and I can't wait to go back!
